There was a boxing of it by Revell with the RAF markings and bits and bobs, insta-whiff when it was cancelled shortly after poor Revell released it!

Did Revell actually release it for sale? I've seen the box art pics but never actually seen a kit, either back then or more recently. It's only a decal job on a current MH-47E kit though.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

The helicopter virus has returned.

Three Italeri UH-1Ds arrived today via Ebay.
At least two of them are earmarked for real world builds.
I always hope for the best.

part 2 for the birthday plastic was a trip to modelzone and ian allan in birmingham. i came away with....

RoG 1/72 lancaster B.1/B.3 [for which i have plans  ;D ]
RoG 1/72 NH90 TTH
italeri 1/72 MB326K [the old supermodel kit and comes with a good decal sheet]
academy 1/72 F-16C [this and a load of their F-16 and F-18 kits were all going for £9.99]

most interestingly the MH-47 i got a couple of days ago comes with the large and smaller side sponsons. what to
do with the spares? either way this kit has the worst case of 'lumps and bumps' i have ever seen. there seem to
be enough DECM bits and bobs to defend several helos never mind just the one!
Keeper of George the Cat.

Radish

3 x Pegasus Hobbies 1/48th Bf-109G6
3 x Revell 1/48th Bf-109G10.....interestingly, the decal sheet HAS Swastikas

All the versions of the Revell/Italeri '47E come with both sets of sponsons Trevor, you have to trim the main fuselage to suit IIRC. But LOADS of spare bits for other projects are not to be sneezed at.   ;)

From the Gloucester IPMS Show y'day, an Airfix Skyray (for som e reason I missed out on it the first time around) and an Acedemy Tempest, to replace the ofl Frog one that I'm using on my Sabrecat project.

I'm seriously impressed with the Tempest, lovely bit of moulding, and decals for 'Le Vieux Charles', Pierre Closterman's aircraft.

Oh the F3D-3, got drawing of the swept wing version that was cancelled in one of my books

Bit of a shock that you had to go as far as Oz to find a kit for a decent price  :o
