Ford Consul in Gold.

Well, they call it gold, I'd say closer to Bronze but the registration, NHK 295M, is for this car and that's why I wanted it!

Yep, that's Jack Regan's motor!

Nope any being planned were scrapped when the planes were scrapped, a shame really as would be nice from a Project Cancelled/What-if point of view but there would be alot of resin which may have detered even those who wanted one.

Might be better off with an Arado Ar 232B or a Messerschmitt Me 323 then.  Although for the former you're looking at either a very rough and practically unfindable Airmodel kit or a very rough and practically unbuildable Mach 2 kit.

Although if you want the original Herkules, you'll want a Junkers Ju 352.  In which case your two options are either a very rough and practically unfindable Airmodel kit or a very rough and practically unbuildable Mach 2 kit.

Acttually, I've been a bit harsh.  The Airmodel Ju 352 looks quite nice and the Mach Poo kits of both the Ar 232 and the Ju 352 are nowhere near as tragically awful as his other kits.

Arado 232 can be found here: http://www.airmodel.de/product_info.php?info=p64_arado-ar-232-a-b.html

Wings, including engine bays, were all different from tip to tip. I never thought it was a practical proposition.

Today's addition: one Airfix 1:72 Bf110E/E-2 Trop. Six quid, I couldn't say no. Pricing error at a department store in Poole - all the others were marked up at £10. This 'un will be a racer in a no-war scenario. I'm thinking the MacRobertson 1944 race. ;D Obviously no weapons, will have a nice gaudy colour scheme, might use the life raft tail extension as there are over-water stretches on the route. Looks cracking in the box - can't believe all the bitching about how heavy the panel lines are. Plenty of spare parts too, which is always good.

Ooooh....I thought about getting one of these....I made a Revell one recently that was very very basic....wouldn't get the old Airfix 110....but very tempted by the BoB one....with a sharkmouth.....gotta have one of them....being chased by a spit or Hurri.....somewhere in the heights above my sons bed in his big room, when we swop him over from the small room to the large one....along with all the other dogfights there will be....apart from WW1....couldn't face the rigging....

The Revell 110 is from about 1970 but it's apparently quite accurate apart from the engines.  I had an article from somewhere that said you could get a very accurate 110 by cross kitting the Fujimi and Revell 110 kits.

I've just finished a Revell one. It's basic, yes, but actually builds rather nicely.

Re. the MRA.4, a vacform conversion would be much more sensible, with resin for the details.

Normally, I don't post as to what I've just purchased (as there is little enough of it).

However, I just won a Resin Planet Do 31 on Evilbay.  Cost me a fortune and is the most expensive single kit purchase I have ever made.  However, it is something I've been interested in building for some time.   Thinking about a FAA COD aircraft, DSG upper, white lower paint job, perhaps.  Or the RAN FAA equivalent as an ASW aircraft, with light grey upper, white lower.  Alternatively a Marinen SAR job as per this profile by Sentinel Chicken:
