1/72 airfix BAe nimrod [does anyone do a MRA4 conversion?] they had them for £29.99 in their sale

I haven't seen any MRA.4 conversions yet.

Nope any being planned were scrapped when the planes were scrapped, a shame really as would be nice from a Project Cancelled/What-if point of view but there would be alot of resin which may have detered even those who wanted one.
i wanted one because the last time i went to the airshow  at waddington the chaps from 56 sqn [ISTAR OEU] had got as far as doing a MRA4 OEF patch in full 56 sqn colors and were selling them off [2011]. an excuse for a very colorful whiff if ever there was one!

Suprisingly large haul from Bolton, given that I don't actually need anything. All I can say is that it was cheapness that got the better of me: this little lot came to less than £40  :

That's the old Matchbox kit isn't it?  Fond memories of building that when I was ten.  All of the Matchbox armour kits were really nice and the diorama bases were always a plus point.  There's a few that I'd really like to get just for the nostalgia box, not to mention a few of the ESCI kits.

It is indeed. The stall had stacks of them at £3 each - lots of other stuff at half marked price too. I did WWII wargaming at school, and the Matchbox kits always seemed more sturdy than the Airfix ones, which was a big deal since they had to be carried back and forth and around school a lot.

These two may be destined to donate their track/wheel systems to Pumas and their bodies to sci-fi, but I havn't really decided yet.

Won on ebay:

Fujimi Kubelwagen and BMW motorbike/sidecar combo.

One of the kits for the nostalgia box.  Have some fond memories of this one from 1986.  The rubber tyres were a nice surprise touch.  Just need the Nitto Panzer I and Kubel now.

Where do you plan to put the radar on an F-100?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kinda like that image, but bigger. The nose will look Crusader-ish, and the cockpit raised to give a bit of a "hump". I might jam a Spey in too.
