They're good options Trev.  Another is a retrojet, in Aeroflot or other former Warsaw Pact countries liveries.  Decals are proving to be a problem, however.

I've got one of those off Ebay. I sliced the hull off to use on my C-130 jet Seaplane. Mine came without any glazing or propellers.

Revell 1/144th Dornier Do X....it'll be from "Biggles and the Black Peril", a story about a Soviet invasion of the UK in the ealy/mid '30s. Ginger is introduced too.
It will NOT have zillions of struts supporting the engines though, but will receive further steampunking.

The artwork from the Biggles books shows the Do X type, lots of then bringing the invasion force. They're all dark too....in some illustrations anyway.

Much to my surprise,I've found my copy of   this  book  and the  cover  artwork is  indeed a Do X ish  sort of aircraft, with  flames lighting the darkness around, whilst  Biggles escapes into the  foreground.  Must  re read it!
