Three weeks to get from London to Coventry?!
I could have walked there and home again in that time...

the main thing is nick that they reached me.  i know you probably could have walked the 100 miles or so [97 miles if you go from euston to coventry [via kilsby] by train], but which way would you have gone?  ;D

the FM-1 wildcat is getting re-engined for a starter with a large UK manufactured radial engine which may double the horsepower and get a finish rather similar to those drone hellcats used in various US atomic tests after WW2, but with RN markings.

the P-40 hmm, well after the southern railway inspired P-40 'G-OVSB' well i might just go 'jock' on this one.

Is he suggesting more quantity, such as 20 Curtiss Conqueror engines;  or more horsepower .............a dozen Napier Sabres, perhaps?

Just arrived from the big H:

Dragon 1/144 TR-1A, for a RW build.

Falcon 1/72 vac-form conversion set for F-106B Delta Dart, F9F-8T Cougar, & Mirage IIID, two seaters. One of which is most deffinitely NOT going to be RW.

Alle kunst ist umsunst wenn ein engel auf das zundloch brunzt!!

Sic biscuitus disintegratum!

Cats are not real.
They are just physical manifestations of collisions between enigma & conundrum particles.

Any aircraft can be improved by giving it a SHARKMOUTH!

'Twas the Rolls-Royce "R" on the Supermarine, not the Kestrel. An altogether different beast!
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

R  was 2400hp, 12 of   which would certainly move the Do-X  along.  The other suggestion, of 12 late model Sabres at 3500hp each  would give the flight engineer  a little something in reserve should he find it necessary!

12 Sabres on a Do X would probably pull the entire wing off!
