Ho hum, New Year Resolution (no new kits for a while) well and truly down the pan now.  Airfix Vampire T.11 and (because it's £2.99) an Airfix Sea Hawk FGA.6 starter kit (my second in 6 months!).  Vampire = real world, Sea Hawk = real world Hawker P.1052.  Or with a lot of work a P.1081.

All the way from the Ukraine, a AN602 Tsar Bomb ....... ;D

You're going to need something BIG to carry that!  :o

This is "go home with the biggest model" Aircav your talking about, of course he'll have a suitable carrier for it  ;D

One should ALWAYS add longer wings!  ;)

In the post this morning a Heritage Aviation Mirage F1B 2 seat conversion kit (from Grimsby?) At this rate I'll be able to build a complete escadron's worth of F1s as the conversion comes with two sets of canopies.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

This morning, from Jamieson's in Glasgow (one of the great Aladin's caves of the modelling world.)
Airfix Vampire T11.
Lots of ideas:

Japanese in a modern "Special Scheme" well they did evaluate one.
Mexican, armed to the teeth border patroller. They did fly single seaters.
Australian, camoflaged FAC trainer instead of the Winjeel.

Watch out for the finished article some time....................

Yesterday in Halifax models I joined the Vampire T.11 owners club, that shop is a wonder. Haworth Pennine Models hasn't changed in 5 years if ever!

Today in Huddersfield I have succumbed to the charms of a Revell twin seat Typhoon and a Hasegawa Mitsubishi MU-2J. This last may become a Coastguard or Maritime Patrol bird for the RAF or the US.
