From Modelzones in Manchester and the Trafford Centre:

8 x Revell 1/72nd Me.P1099B
8 x Revell 1/72nd Jagdpanther (keeping half of those for sci-fi builds)
6 x Revell 1/72nd T-80B

22 kits for £37.50:  ;D

Mostly to be sat on and them fed onto ebay to slightly subsidise my plastic habit....

Come on, tell us how you managed to get all these kits for just £1.70 each?

Easy - they're all discounted to £2.50 in the sale, and they've got a 3 for 2 offer on all Revell kits at the moment. The numbers are slightly odd because I bought 2 x P.1099s and 2 x Jagdpanthers in one branch (all they had) and then went to another branch that had loads of all of them.

Holborn MZ 50% off clearout made me do it (all 1/72, all Airfix): Spitfire IXc, Spitfire PR.19, F.22, TSR.2.

Edit - an Airfix Hampden 'fell' into my bag when I pooped in again on the way home from work.  And the shelves were looking pretty bare at 5:30 last night.  End of an era.

Just ordered a 1:144 Tu-22M - plan is to convert it into a 1:72 VG fighter...  Maybe something Chinese?

The kit arrived several weeks ago - and I have both a (new) idea and appropriate parts for it! Work on "Project Kodiak" in 1:72 scale started last weekend and makes quick progress...

Doesn't surprise me: it took SIX attempts to get my weekend pigout through the till at MZ Manchester. It couldn't cope with the fact that they were discounted AND 3-for-2 AND multiple examples of the same kit and kept getting the total wrong. In the end we did it as six separate transactions for 3 different kits each, with the money passing back and forth each time.....

From ebay:

1 x Revell 1/72nd UH-60A Desert Hawk
1 x Revell 1/72nd EF-2000 Eurofighter 2-seater
2 x Revell 1/72nd RAH-66 Comanche

Not a bad package for 15 quid.

The seller packed them in two boxes due to their disparate sizes and put them both in the post, at the same post office, on the same service, with the same address, on the same day. One arrived yesterday and the other arrived today - good old Royal Mail......
