this is a 1980's resin conversion kit, '617. it came out decades before the italeri kit and probably only
a few years after the real CH-53E flew. but i can reproduce this cranked tailplane from plastic card and the tailplane you wouldn't be using in the kit, i reckon.

Not a stash acquisition, but one very large and heavy camera lens. No more kits for me for a while.....  :o :blink: :rolleyes:

I liberated my local MZ of their last Airfix 1/72 Fokker Friendship for £4.50....couldn't not really....thats a pint of beer in some pubs where I work....

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Not for my needs lol.
Now makes two of the DC-9 and Three of the 737 in the stash. (not counting the ET-45 AWACS trainer I did many moons ago.)

Ha ha Thorvic......ur not wrong there...

An eBay win arrived today....for just over £5 and £3 postage...an Italeri 1/72 MH47E....didn't expect to win it....as only 20p more than asking price.....

Picked up a pair of Revell Hawker Furys for half price in Modelzone Lakeside at the weekend, their Bluewater sale had nothing. Not sure why I bought a pair of biplanes other than the low price but there's plenty to do with them such as a 1938 WW2 or the Asian build.
