with the exception of one missing part... the cranked tailplane peculiar to the type

the instructions are LOUSY, though

What's wrong with the Italeri kit, Trev.  I picked up one of those a couple of weeks back.

this is a 1980's resin conversion kit, '617. it came out decades before the italeri kit and probably only
a few years after the real CH-53E flew. but i can reproduce this cranked tailplane from plastic card and the tailplane you wouldn't be using in the kit, i reckon.

Ye gods, some SERIOUS work needed there!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Picked up a pair of Revell Hawker Furys for half price in Modelzone Lakeside at the weekend, their Bluewater sale had nothing. Not sure why I bought a pair of biplanes other than the low price but there's plenty to do with them such as a 1938 WW2 or the Asian build.
