I did something on Tuesday that I promised I'd never do......I bought a Heller kit!!!! The shame of it all! I mean, after what they did to Airfix, anyhow the model is a 1/150 Corsair pirate ship. Yes, I know I'm weak!

Personal view after a quick look is that it's better *. £1 or so more then the Revell kit in MZ. I'll be building this rather then just slinging it in the stash.

* I am an unashamed fan of these new Airfix tools so may be a little biased.

Pickedp a pair of 1/700 Chinese PLAN FFG54 class frigates off HobbyEasy. Discovered that Dreammodel had converted their previous resin version of these kits into injection moulded kits so hopefully they will do the same to the Destroyers and LPD they have in resin to give create a rather nice PLAN modern fleet.

Its quite an improvement over both the Revell and Hasegawa versions, lots of decent detail inside and out plus they got the wings correct and the bomb bay fairing unlike Revell.
