The P-40Q is actually a pretty plane (in contrast to the huge rest of the family...),

Very much so. I like the P-40 family but the Q is the only one you could use the descriptor "pretty" with

Didn't one of us do a 'Q' in the Freightdog Pegasus build the other year?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

There were several adaptations of the P-40Q in the Freightdog Pegasus build, Kit, some more radical than others.

Arrived from ebay with the total price the same as most advertisers ask for just the kit

1 x 1/72 Airfix Lancaster BII

After looking over the sprue's I think I can safely say that I will be buying a few more of the new Airfix Lancaster in all versions with existing kits in my stash being used as whiff fodder possibly.

From Nick's sale, a 1/72nd Esci Ka-34 Hokum (the non-existent tandem seat one). Nice one Nick!

From Hannants:

1/72nd Xtradecal sheet: 13 x Seahawks
1/72nd Falcon vac-form canopy set: US Navy post WWII pt.1
Flexible copper metric ruler

How's this for daft? The decal sheet and the ruler, i.e. two FLAT things, were on the same order and came in the same package: a 1.5" deep cardboard box that was a shade too narrow for the decal sheet, so they'd bent it to get it in (not seriously thankfully)...  :banghead:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
