Went to an LHS for some paint and a model that's on their website, only to find that the model's gone and they hadn't got that colour of paint.... :banghead:

So, went to Hobbycraft to get the paint, and in the clearance section I found:

1. Airfix 1/144th Vostock buried under a load of other stuff, priced at £5.00 from when they had them on sale,

2. Revell 1/48th Albatross D.V for £10, which gets me the twin Spandaus I wanted and a whole bunch of other useful stuff beside. Given that I was about to pay £6.50 just for a pair of resin guns, I call that a win...

 :drink:

Was tempted yet again by the Italieri Skyfall EH-101s at £10.99, but must resist, must resist.....

JayBee, is that Revell P-51B the ex- Monogram kit, the one that comes with a Malcolm hood option, or is it a newer moulding?

The Wooksta!

I'd suspect it's the 96/97 tooling.  Very nice kit but the older Monogram one is still worth having, despite it's age and raised panel lines.

This one will be real world. When I get around to building it.

A single resin 1/72nd scale Aero Modell Baade 152 V4 resin kit arrived direct from Germany today.

(East) Germay's first jet liner built by former Junkers engineers after being sent home from the USSR. Size and layout wise, it looks like a more agricultural half cousin of a B-47.

This one was spotted by a certain admin of this site who is known to some of us as the "Evil Kit Finder General" (EKFG for short).
It wasnt cheap, but now its in my grubby little hands.....it was worth every penny. Its one of the best bits of resin casting from out side the Czech republic I have seen in a long time.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

I didn't know anyone did a kit of that, amazing, even if it is a leading candidate in 'The World's Ugliest Jetliner' competition.  ;D
