I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Nick

KP 1/72 Avia B534

I think its because you had to look for them Nick, the main traders had them but they were stacked in the stalls with the rest of their Italeri range, i don't recall any of them being promimently displayed with the box art showing or marker to say new kit. So unless you were looking for them it a case "oh the new F-35 kit" as you were generally browsing the kits on the stalls.
I suspect if it had been the F-35B kit with UK markings then they would have been pushing them much harder.

A Hobby Boss A-7E for which I have a plan, inspired by some recent CG profiles here...

Also got a sick idea for one of the free F-5Es I recently got my hands onto, and there will be not-so-real Kfir in the near future coming along, got an Italeri C7 Kfir.

I'm not posting the full swag list as it's a: long and b: largely Spitfires

Some highlights:
AZ Spitfire IXc Joypack (x3!)
AZ Letov 300 (Basset lookalike with twin fins)
Airfix Bofors gun and Tractor (early 80s boxing I've been wanting since 1983)
Skybirds 86 Hornets (not saying how many, but I've smashed my own record)
Skybirds 86 Hunters - F4/F5 and two seat.
Rareplanes DH Dove/Devon (actually got 2, one bagged for a quid and t'other in the kitswap for £2)
Amodel Vampire F1 (came with free AZ Spiteful)
Heller Tempest F.V (x2 - one came with resin wheel inserts and a decal sheet that was worth more than the kit)
Pegasus Martin Baker MB5 (for £3)

From Kit Spackman:
Airkit Spitfire F21

From Mcgrieg:
M&E Spitfire Tr.9 conversion

The Skybirds stuff was the last commercially available - John Adams had found some in the late Mike Eacock's loft and was selling them for his widow.  I nabbed the last Hornet on the sunday adfternoon after my main spree on the saturday morning.  I wanted others to get a chance to get them, although I suspect most will be on ebay fairly soon, along with the rest of the Skybirds stuff John was selling.  Some vultures may well make a killing, especially on the Scimitars.

On return home, I find I've won a bundle of 8 Spitfire kits on ebay.  2 are unusable (Revell Vb and old tool Airfix 9, although the former may provide some spares), but the rest will find their way into The Plan at some stage.

Telford booty:

2 x NOVO Attackers and a 1/300 Heller Concorde (honest!) courtesy of PR19_Kit.  Actually there were two kits in the Concorde box - and it still rattled!
2 x Airfix Corsair IIs from Howard of Effingham
Excellent Wyvern plans and a buch of resing from The Wooksta!
An A-7E decal sheet, an A-7E cockpit detailing set and a Modeldecal sheet from Hannants
A PM F-5A from the Kitswap (canopy needed for a real world build, the rest will be whiffed)
A brand new Airfix Hurricane I.....
.....and a KP MiG-15UTI from Aeroclub (for one whole pound Sterling!)

One of the Attackers, one of the Corsairs, the Hurri and the MiG to both be real world.

I have a cunning plan for the Concordes.

And finally a big thanks to Kit for the test shots  ;)

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.
