Yep, got that one.  A natural progession would be to put the Alpha Jet in Raspberry Ripple.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Agreed . . . As long as the Brits have had their Gadgets, it would only make sense by now.

Awakening an old thread.  QinetQ apparently operates Alphas in camouflage and RAF markings:

Is it me or did they just splash some green patches over whatever was the former paintjob?  :o

They'ed look better in Afghanistan, armed  ;D

I like your thinking. With that 27mm gun pod and a hand-picked assortment of bombs, rockets or missiles......
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Isn't that a B1-B behind the Alpha jet in the pic?

I wonder what one of them was doing at Boscombe Down......  -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

A much more sensible name, if even less interesting markings.   Haven't these mobs ever heard of "colour"?

;D Actually, the Top Aces aircraft only operate in ex-Luftwaffe colours until it time for major maintenance. Then their Alpha Jet As get a rather snazzy wrap-around camo job.

Could the pic have been taken at RIAT or similar?

The QinetiQ AJs look pretty sharp in gloss black:

There actually were plans to navalize the Alpha Jet for the AĆ©ronavale (the "Lancier"), including an Agave radar, so that it could deploy Exocet missiles.

And a navalized version was one of the contenders for the T-45 competition/as a T-2 replacement (which is on my project list, should look pretty in high viz white/orange USN trainer colors ).

Here's a model of this proposal, looks prettystandard except for a blunt nose and the beefed-up landing gear:
