I've read the first three in the series covering Ghengis' reign and enjoyed them very much.  I think it's fair to say that he's 'filled in the gaps' and condensed timelines for story telling purposes, but still a great read with the more well known events historically intact.  I'll pick up the other two in time.

a couple of purchases from ebay arrived today

Scale Aircraft Modelling Vol 4 Number 11 August 1982 - Special Issue : Air Power In Southern Africa with free decals of the Rhodesian Air Force National Insignia still intact!

Scale Aircraft Modelling Vol 5 Number 12 September 1983 - Aircraft in Detail SA.330 Puma and an article on Luftwaffe Swastika markings without the free decal sheet unfortunately.

Both were gaps in my collection.

The Puccara is in English as are most of the MMP books, they did the Mirage IIIO in RAAF service and are due to reprint it soon

Are there any reccomendations for books on WWI Tanks?  Especially those covering the development.  I'd prefer an overview rather than a volume on individual types, but if there's a particularly good one I might get it.

The Devil's Chariots: The origins and secret battles of tanks in the First World War, John Glanfield - pretty good overview of the whole tank design development and design process with some interesting insights into why the Tank wasn't as developed as well as it could be.   A few minor errors but no major glitches in the story IMO.  The link is to the Kindle edition.  I have the paperback and it's a good read.
