The April edition of Combat Aircraft Monthly has an interesting article on page 76 "China's Special Missions Cubs".
I've not seen any kits of the Antonov An-12 'Cub' or Yun-8 the Chinse Hercules in any model shops I've been in, but there are a dozen 'Whiffs' to be built.

My youngest daughter (Did you know she was the RAF's best Air Tra......?  ;)) gave me a delayed Xmas pressie this week in the shape of the Vulcan Diamond Jubilee book.

Cor, what a WONDERFUL collection of stories and photos it holds! It also has at least one photo and a potted history of EVERY Vulcan ever built!  :o

I may be busy reading it for some time.......

Air Force Legends Number 203; North American F-107A by William J. Simone.

Impressive volume, nearly 150 pages for a type that never entered service.  If you've got Trumpy's kit it's very much worth getting, for some of the development stuff or if you want to go nuts on the detail.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Did you actually buy the Kit at Huddersfield ?

Yes!  I've had a quick flick through it as well as the threads here and on Secret Projects, wondering what would be needed to make it more 'production standard'.  Open to suggestions on markings, Thunderbirds appeal (but the masking! :-\) although I like the idea of hanging something that goes bang on it and would prefer something a little different to the usual F-105 schemes.

Early 80's USAFE in Euro1 scheme rather than SEA scheme ?

Thanks Geoff, that's a good option.  That's got the cogs whirring, I know at least one Thud was dressed in Euro I and a Twobobs sheet exists for it, there's also a desert scheme on it.  Got me thinking about a Desert Storm aircraft, it's pushing it a bit time wise though.  Then there's the various schemes based on the Euro I/SEA pattern that were trialed on the A-10.  Food for thought, thanks Geoff!

Decal sheets for the F-100 era T'birds should be a close fit I expect, although you'd need some radical changes to the nose decals. They may 'only' involve carefull cutting as you'd be making them smaller rather than larger.

Well done finding a complete set of the William Green pocket size books Logan.

What a pity he never finished off the series with the bombers though.

Thanks!  My dad has about 1/3 of them.  I'm proud to have a full set now.  Half of those books (the two Putnams, the Owen Thetford books, the Brit R&D, Canberra, Lincoln, & Javelin) would, I think, have been decent finds at a UK used bookstore, to say nothing of Jacksonville, FL!

Cheers,

Logan

Yup I have a few from when I was a kid, including the WWI ones, and there's some weird stuff in there
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
