Happy belated one from me Ian.

High 20s?  That sounds like what we have been having, only fahrenheit. We did break freezing for the first time this year over the weekend.  Course, that just means it was finally warm enough to snow again.

If only I skied, maybe then I would see the sense in this.

G*d (or any other deity/supreme being that you choose to honour or not) is good !!

Found it by the ancient and much mytholigised art of standing on it in bare feet.... and it didn't break  - un-effin-believable !!.

Back-on-track, but no more work will be done for about ten days. Going up to Taupo on Tuesday morning, first break we've had since we got to NZ in April, and tomorrow as soon as I get in from work, I'll be drinking beer and attempting to 'google' Frau Kiwi-Gatherer, after all is my birthday !!

I exterminated my carpet monster for pretty much exactly this reason - the only carpet in my apartment now is on the enclosed balcony. If something drops on the floor, it turns up immediately. (unless it's PE, in which case I'll never find it...)

Extended camo on. And first coat of Kleer/Future. Will need a couple more of coats.

Next.... first panel wash.

Over the last couple of sittings, I've washed all the panel lines using (heavily thinned) Paynes Grey, then sealed that wash under a (brush) coat of Kleer/Future. Next I added the streaks, smudges and drips around the underside using raw oil paint straight from the tube and a small soft sable brush to 'smear' and blend the tones.

Finally everything is sealed under two sprayed coats of Humbrol 'Gloss Cote'.

Next, decals !

Thanks for the comments chaps. Appreciate it as ever. So this afternoon, the decals went on, not that you can really see them, lo vis really does describe this one - easily the most 'non-descript' finished I've ever applied, but then that is rather the point, n'est pas ??

So what next ??.... think I'll take a break for a week or so and then go back to the loadout and spend some time getting that 'right'. All comments, questions and criticism welcomed and thanks for taking the time look.

Red sable brushes have no equal do they.
And they make a genuinely visible difference.

Taken me years to get that technique 'nailed' Daryl. Very much a 'less-is-more' discipline !!

Decals? What decals?

Oh, THOSE decals!  :o

Yes, they really are lo-vis, to say the least. Looks very plausible indeed Ian and well up to your usual standard.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Oh, very nice!

Is it gonna be an-flight bird or did you close the landing gears door only temporarily against paint spray?

Of course it didn't break! Mitsubishi actually went for this design to improve resistance against bird strikes. Although I don't think they quite envisaged this to be tested by shoeless(!) kiwis standing on them!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Very subtle markings Ian - I almost missed them
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
