Taking a break from the Lightning masters this week to build something i´ve had sat around for a while now. Its the airfix Vulcan that i´m going to build as a Vulcan 2000. It´ll have the extension and spine of the B.6 spec with a pointed nose, laser designator in the redundant bomb aimers blister, new undercarriage and new engines from the nimrod if i can get hold of some intakes. Considering swapping the fin for a different look but not found anything that looked right yet and not decided on colour scheme or markings yet. Photos tomorrow of the progress!

We don't see many Vulcan Whifs, and that's a bad thing. There is so much potential!

Will the Nimrod intakes have enough area to feed those four hungry Olympuses? (Olympii?) The standard Vulcan B2 ones are HUGE!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Take 'em from a 1/72nd Nimrod, they might just match.  ;D

Depends what scale the Vulcan is......

Thanks for the comments guys, leaving the intakes for now but most of the major cutting work has been done so not much to see, had hoped to have the new nose on and the extension finished today but got distracted with the tail problem. I´m torn between a tornado fin or an enlarged vulcan fin? tried a 48th tornado fin but it looked a little small to me but nor sure if a 32nd oe would be too big on a vulcan

Right, confused it with the other post involving a 1/200th Vulcan. Move along...
