1/48th Revell A-10 Strafing Machine

Basically an OOB Revell A-10A, in an experimental desert camo for ground support in the 'Stan. Ready for decals :thumbsup:

Weapons load includes:
-2x GBU-16 Paveways
-4x SUU-23 20mm gun pods (from 2 Monogram F-5 kits)
-GAU-8 Avenger 30mm cannon
-ALQ-119 jamming pod

That would surely do some damage! May I suggest a Maverick or two to deal with anyone dumb enough to shoot up at this A10.

May I suggest a rocket booster in the tail to keep the speed up when you fire that lot together!  ;D

I was going to suggest the rocket booster!  Darn thing nearly stops when you fire the GAU-8... :blink:

Decals done, light weathering and dullcoat tomorrow.....

Love the paint and the idea of all those gun pods ! Needs a 'winder on the one wing, and I'd swap out those big ugly GBUs for a pair of the little 250 pounders.....look more modern.  :thumbsup:

With that much weaponry the target better not be too far from the base! She will need quite a long takeoff run too. But it will be one sorry sack of ...... on the recieving end of all that gunnery.

Perhaps a pair of external fuel tanks in place of the GBUs??? :ph34r:

Smaller GBUs if you have them. Or CEV-7s, or Mavericks. Just something like they have been using out there. Maybe even a 'winder ?
