I don't know if it's true or not,  but there is a story of a pair of Buccaneers leaving a wake behind them  in the Dead Sea.  Something to do with Operation Pulsator (flying through the streets of Beiruit) or Granby (the Gulf)
This would have given them a MINUS 1300 foot reading!

I've always been impressed by pictures of the Zeppelin flying over the Dead Sea, a thousand feet below sea level!

My first thought on reading this was 'Would hydrogen work below sea level?'..................  :-\ ;D :lol:
