Utterly brilliant all three of those clips, well spotted you two.  

Of course that was when we had a real Navy and a real Fleet Air Arm..... <sigh>

Some interesting things to note in them, the way the catapult shuttle just bashed the Scimitar's nosewheel out of the way as it ran back   the almost unbelievable Gannet wing-fold/unfold sequnce, and the fact that Scimitar was launched with full flap and they were almost at 90 Deg to the wing!

I think the opening squence of 'Sailor', when a Phantom flew in at low level and Vmax crossing just in front of the Ark, was superb, especially as it was filmed from the pilot's view. I liked that so much I did it in Flight Simulator, and somewhere I have the vid archived. And my vid has Rod Stewart doing his thing as background music as well.

Interesting how much well, "neater" the Phantoms are landing compared to the Buccaneers.  The Phantom comes down, she stays down.  The Bucc comes down, she bounces on one wheel or the t'other.   I'm amazed at how close all the deck crew are to the runway.   You wouldn't want a burst tyre!
