Changes made to the kit:
Different barrel (PaK40) and counterweight, infra-red night visor and lamps added, repositioned the exhausts, bashed fuel drum mounting on the rear, tools, jerrycan mountings and jack swapped with items from Dragon and Tristar, smoke launchers from Lion Roar.

And time for paint! My second freehand camo-scheme (This was the first), it needs some touch-ups here and there, but not too bad I'd say.

Thanks for watching

Looking good !  Always liked this style of tank. Was just looking at a Revell Kanonenjagpanzer yesterday

nice modelling, definately looking forward to seeing it finished, as a 'panzer 46' afficianado i do like those releases, opens up lots of modelling possibilities too (im glad to see the manufacturers are starting to cover their allied equivalents too)

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Much appreciated.

Did some weathering, sourced a couple of decals and added some mud. Lovely job, that.
For the pics I assembled the thingie but the machinegun, fueldrum, mantle and main gun and the sprockets&wheels are still separate.

Captain Canada

Beauty. Lots of details on this one. Keep up the good work !

Thanks Cap! Managed to get the tracks on today. I used the rubber band ones cuz the loose links have two sinkmarks and two sprue attachments per link to clean up. And since my patience can only be stretched that far, and I have no money to buy the Friul metal link thingies it was the only alternative left. But they are nicely detailed anyway and with some weathering they´ll look allright.

I hope.

A Paper Panzer tank needs a Paper Panzer tank comander, of course.

Excellent...the tracks look real ! What technique do you use for the rust and mud ? I need to learn some tricks of the trade before I do my Zombie build.

The mud is a slurry that consists of some ground down pastel, the kind you'd use on a blackboard, some static grass by Verlinden, and to make it liquid some colormix from Revell. Nice and cheap. I just blob it on the tracks, leave it to dry, then take out a 3b pencil and 'draw' on the bits that I want to look like bare metal. The drawing action removes the dried up mud and leaves the metallic surface. For rust I use one of those 'eye shadow' sets from Tamiya. The one with 'rust' in it  The bits on the inside of the tracks that need to look like metal, where the wheels touch the track, are painted with polished steel from, I believe, Humbrol.

So, nothing fancy, haha

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
