Ya I agree. It's way easier to scroll down thru a thread, reading it and perusing the photos without and manipulation. Especially as we grow and there is more and more stuff of interest on here. And also when viewing on a mobile device....

I would love to say that those look great, but all I can see is the left side .of the photo ... ???   Can anyone fix this for me or at least explain why "Some" photos are like this and others aren't ???  I've had this since I first found this site as well as several others which are using the same format.  On some I can open the picture but this doesn't always happen nor does it always work.  This may not.be the place for this question and I'm happy to have it moved but I would really like to solve this mystery.

Easiest way to view large pics in most web browsers is to use Ctrl+- to zoom out, Ctrl++ to zoom in.  Ctrl+0 returns it to the original size.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Again -I can off the top of my head name four ways to make a large image fit a small screen without looking strange. The fastest being right-clicking or tap-and-holding on the image and opening it in a new tab. This works just fine on my cellphone, as well as on my rather tiny laptop. Making a small image fit my desktop's monitor on the other hand is impossible.

I personally find having to open pictures in a new tab on my cellphone to be a much lesser nuisance than not being able to enjoy the full size pictures on a big screen...

(This is being typed up and sent from my phone, so I know what I'm talking about.)

As to my models, I'm leaving them alone today as I ended up with a massive headache from the cement fumes last night. I've been sleeping all day long and only just woke up...

Cheers!

I was looking at the pic of the bomb bay..... Either close it up or cut it out and put in many hours worth of work. Don't drive yourself crazy trying to make a silk purse out of that sow's ear.

I was thinking of using it as is, just painted up properly. The real thing never really looked like that, but this is a what-if. If I ever build one of these again, I'll do the whole "fix everything" thing, though.

Captain Canada

I agree. I think you could make it look ok, especially if you add the proper stencils after painting. Then again, how many people are really going to see it ?

More or less what I was thinking. This isn't going to be a contest entry, not brave enough for that yet...

I'm in the process of painting the big bird - there's two coats of Humbrol 128 on the top, and one coat of Humbrol 127 on the bottom at the moment. My legit decal options for a US P-3 are restricted to one high-vis bird from an operational squadron (don't remember which one, sheet is out of reach from where I'm sitting, since I have a cat on my lap...) but I did find a decal sheet belonging to a Revell 1/48 F/A-18E... does anyone else think the Bone would look good with a black-and-yellow tailfin and VX-9 Vampires markings? :)

(Oh, but how the USAF would *HOWL* if the Navy had bought B-1s for *any* reason...)

Captain Canada

Oh they sure would have ! I'd have to see what it looks like as painted now before commenting on a yellow and black tail. Then again, if you're going hi-vis, why not ?

Even the subdued camo painted birds had some bright markings now and then. I say go for it!
