Wide open is the only way to go. If you were a pilot. and there were aeroplanes just sitting at airports all over the place, of course you take one up and have a look around !

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Only trouble with landing at a major commercial airport is telling the Zombies from the normal off-boarding Red Eye passengers! :D
Why didn't I join the Navy or Air Force? Fighting emplacements usally don't sink or crash to the ground in flames! :o
Trains? Trains? Like we say out here in farm country "Nothing beats a train... in a demolition derby"!  It's hard to stop a train. I can see it now: A coal or oil burner engine pulling a string of armored cars With a diesel /electric along just in case you get lucky.
Have at it gents.

Found a 1/32nd Mack pumper truck. This will carry water and barrels of fuel.

Interesting idea !!!   My.troops will be self suffecient. Never imo when you might go off on your own or the rest of the party get eaten,or something...
BTW, I live in Oklahoma in the U.S.A.  This gives me a big advantage to what you "can find on the street".  I don't think any of the display tanks are runners, but that's about all. I thought about a White a/c (gun dealer in Tulsa) but decided that might be too much. As for guns...   my girl friend's 6month old has two rifles already so ...  Then you can buy just about anything at the local gun shows and people here do.  Hand grenades and rpg's are somewhat harder to come by but can be had. I know guys with mg's of various kinds (home defense). If you have a gun dealer liscense you can "legally"own anything you want.   I'm courious as to what you guys in England can get off your streets. I don't know much about foreign gun laws, but I do remember hand guns not.being allowed and I'm guessing full auto anything is out too. Does anybody besides Historex make a shot gun(sporting) ?  Come to think of it where can I get edged weapons in 1/35 scale ?     Have fun guys !!!   I'm all fired up over this and am still coming up with more ideas. Should we put a limit on entries from each member ???

PR19_Kit

Absolutely correct, hand guns of any sort are banned in the UK now, unless you're in the Police or a member of our Armed Forces of course, and even they have restrictions on their appearance in a steet environment. Full auto weapons always have been banned here, but self loading rifles and shotguns are allowed, so long as you have a licence.

The hand gun ban was imposed upon us some years ago as the result of the 1996 Dunblane massacre, and since then the population of hand guns in the criminal fraternity has increased of course, whereas bone fide UK target pistol shooters now have to do all their shooting  either in Northern Ireland, on the Channel Islands, on the Isle of Man or abroad in Holland or Switzerland. That goes for our Olympic pistol shooting team too.......

Logical it isn't, and  a perfect example of 'knee jerk politics'.

Let's define "...you can find on the street".
I know if things went to heck I could probably get into the local National Guard Armory parking area and walk off with anything from a 2 &1/2 ton truck to an M-113 armored personnel carrier to a Hummer using a pair of heavy bolt cutters. Getting hold of heavy weapons (ie; .50 caliber M-2 machineguns, grenades and rocket launchers) would take a lot of effort or some sterling luck. Think 'Golden Horseshoe stuck in your pocket!' :P
All that armor available locally in parks and monuments? "Get out the oxyacetylene set boys & girls. There be armor plate on that steam locomotive"! :roflmao: Empty shells of engines, (if any at all!), gun barrels full of concrete and I-beam anchors welded to the hull and set in concrete and hatches welded shut are just a few of the problems.
So let's just be somewhat reasonable. No battleships or B-52s full of nukes sitting around loose!

I still have my bow.  Silent, easily home-made ammunition, can put an arrow 2 inches (50 mm, 1 finger length) into a wooden railway sleeper at 200 yards.   And it's legal in UK.
