Read Gavin Lyall's "The Most Dangerous Game"  and then consider doing it as a "trespasser"  inserting agents into USSR    from Finland in 1960's   (or from Russia into Finland in 1943).

Fine idea! I could imagine a Norseman with flame damper exhaust and a splinter cammo, based on the Finnish coastal ship colors (mainly brownish/drab tones), and with black underside (and/or a medium to high waterline)?

This livery might look good too, especially since the interchangeable wheels, skis and floats could offer the same functionality: http://modelingmadness.com/review/korean/us/usn/earjrf.htm

Would be marching to the beat of his own drum, if he didn't detest marching to any drumbeat at all so much.

Yup, the Swedish SAR Norsemen just were painted this way.

Hi friends. I'm now missing in action for medical reasons. I had been working in the Spanish SAR scheme by pc drawing and the second draw would be a US Army/Marine Float Plane for night scout in the Mekong... If i could i will open an acount in photobucket and put the draws.

See u and good builds.

Dizzyfugu,

as you said before, I guess they were painted in a rather garish orange, as were apparently the Swedish Goose (Geese?) in reality as well, but I think the nice red used in the model under the link above looks much better and would make a pleasant (if somewhat subtle) whif.

i like the idea of a Finnish one for covert ops  another could be a Finnish Coast Guard bird in overall silver or in overall yellow with black trim as a border guard aircraft like the Beavers used (i have some artwork drawn up by john Lacey of the Norseman in such schemes for my own planned builds)

cheers, Joe
