ZOMBIE APOCOLYPSE THEME BUILD RULES.

2 NEW RULES ADDED.

1) Scale is open to the builder,
2) Must be a vehicle found in civilian life on the streets of your city/ town/ village/ outpost/ borough. And that includes nearby aircraft and water craft.
3) 'Heavy Weapons' like Heavy Machine Guns, bazookas, hand grenades, cannon and such should be things you would expect to be able to obtain and/or find laying about abandoned.
4) Open ended as far as end of build. (we can always name an end date later).
5) Lighter Military vehicles such as APCs and scouting type vehicles will be allowed. I mean even soldiers and storage sites can be overwhelmed, right?
6) Have fun! It's what the hobby is about.

Can we agree on these rules, 'Yes' or "No"?

Sounds good ! I like the idea of a .50 cal. Mow down the first row of a heard and they'd be falling all over each other....

I think the .50cal is a great idea. I think a pair of flamers would be great, too !!!   I must congratulate you on such an inspired idea. Great just great !!!

I wonder if the water cannons would be of any use?

4 out of 7 people who wanted to adapt the rules have said "Yes" to the final rules. Any "Nays"?

No complaints here!

(But, then, I'm not entering... until much later in the year... say September/October.)

probably a bit late... only saw this thread today...dammit :banghead:

Put a few reasons why some Military vehicles should be included in the Poll thread.

Using most of the civilian type vehicle kits available really limits the availability of some parts outside of scratch building.
If you use a 1/24 car/SUV.. there are not a lot of weapons (if you choose to put weapons on) or even stores in that scale.

But in 1/35 where a there are Technicals/Landrovers/Humvee/Military trucks/Wheeled AFV's there is a lot of readily available stores

Sure tanks are totally impractical, from the fuel side alone, but wheeled AFV's and utility vehicles to my mind are totally "available"

Sounds reasonable. If you can drive a small bulldozer or Bob Cat you can drive most tracked armored vehicles.

I'm in if military style vehicles are allowed - I have a cunning plan!

That's why I'm happy I found the Revell 1/32nd scale pumper truck. I figure 1/32 and 1/35 is close enough for this type of project. You are right there is a limit on extra bits when it comes to 1/24th. You can find tools and stuff in 1/24th but not much in the way of weapons and such.
The idea was to leave out tanks and APC's. If there is a National Guard base near your house full of trucks and HUMMVs I guess you could make a case for using them. I'm going with the repurposed fire truck.
