in the early 50s with germany crushing russia but still unable to cross the channel the war in europe was at a stalemate.

sweden was occupied on both sides by germany and were getting increasingly nervous about the situation and ramped up arms design and production.
1 of these designs was for an advanced single seat jet fighter this was to become the draken.
before the draken could complete trials germany invaded and sweden just wernt able to stave them off by the summer of 53 germany occupied the vast majority of mainland europe and a fair chunk of asia.

the design team responsible for the draken dissapeared and were most likely killed during the invasion (the germans later realised theyd all buggered off to blighty)

the germans took the draken and added another engine the result was (breifly) the fastest fighter ever built and an excellent dogfighter

heres comes the messerschmit doppelter Drache

PR19_Kit

Indeed it is! Looking very sleek and purposeful too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Damn, that's good!  :o Looks like it was never meant to be anything else but this.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Earlier, I was getting worried...
Being a Draken purist, I find the intake shape essential for any aircraft that claims direct Draken lineage
