Could use longer wings maybe...........  ;)

that did cross my mind but 2 things put me off
1 top speed and roll rate would suffer?
2 it looks a right bugger due to the shape  this things is only 5" long my eyes are too bad and my hands are too big lol

i expect turn rate wouldnt be so good to to higher wingloading?
this thing was built to combat the new jets germany were making and they were pants in a turn fight so it was still better (and slightly faster!)

that front gear is from an f5 lol

i MIGHT make it a tailwheel again i have a plan to raise the rear prop some more would raising the center of thrust (iv no idea what its called do you know what im on about?) cause any issues?

if i keep it as a tricycle gear i can have an upper and lower rudder the same as the dornier this would make up for the reduced upper rudder (the real 1 wrapped around to the bottom)

if i make it a tail wheel il have to increase the rudder somehow to compensate.

where there any merlin engine spits with 5 bladed props?

i cant turn these blades around so need a prop that spins tother way anyway i dont mind modifying a prop as long as its 5 bladed

Suggestion: Keep it as is, use a tailwheel that retracts into the lower Rudder fin. As this design currently sits, you have a lot of Center of Gravity issues. You should move the tail forward to compensate. You should look at several Pusher aircraft, such as the XP-55 & XP-56.

No Merlin engined Spitfires had 5 bladed props, at least no WWII versions anyway. The original Griffon engined prototype, the real Mk IV oddly enough, serial DP845, had a 4 bladed prop as did the 100 off production versions, the Mk XII.

But yours has two Griffons, doesn't it.............?

yeh mine has 2 griffon 64s in it iv made another 5 bladed prop that spins the opposite way using 2 3 bladed merlin props

tail wheel might be a bit easier to make but its still going to sit fairly flat on its gear which make landing interesting

What about a 'High sitting' tail wheel so you can do a flare and it acts as a saftey factor to 'bounce' the nose down.
There I go, ignoring the posiblity of a box to think inside of!  :o

im not with you mate its got to be long enough so the rear prop doesnt hit the deck

Maybe I missed something... Will there be a bottom fin with a tailwheel to keep the prop from striking the ground?
(the prop will still be there, even with trike gear)

if i go with a tricycle gear il put another rudder to stop a rear propr strike
if i go with tail sitter il put a long gear for the same reason
