Don't forget to put some primered patches around the wheel wells. The spots behind the rear wheels was always the first to rot through. Looking awesome, a ram would be interesting.

You might be surprised with what I come up with.
Think two young men who work on farms and thus farm equipment. They would take things like welding and engine building in the local trade school. Plus young minds are fertile places for off the wall ideas.

Oh I'm quite sure of that! Kids being kids, (And if your under 40 I think of you as a kid, no insult intnded), faster is always better.

PROGRESS REPORT:
None this weekend. I am waiting for FedEx to deliver my order from MicroMark. I want to get some aging done in some areas before I start more assembly. The plow/ram(s) are still in the planning stage as there are more tings to hit than just wandering undead.
Hopefully supplies will arrive today.

I am realizing this was meant more for the body than the under carriage but I am getting some satisfactory results. I will warn you to mix the liquids very thoroughly as even FedEx didn't stir them up much.

I'll be posting pictures later and you can judge for yourself if the product will work for you.

I think I went overboard but I like the dirty, used look at least on the chassis!

Let's compare to a 'Before" shot.

I'll get better as I learn how much of each step to use and how to use them better.

So lets get to some lighter work on the body. This is a 4 step process and I won't be going quite as heavy with it as the car had a lot of work done before being abandoned in the back of this garage. Maybe the owner didn't have the money for the professional work right off or possible he is wandering around looking for brains!
The first step is to stir the paint until you think it is well stirred then stir some more! The heavier parts really settle on the bottom. The bottles have BIG numbers on them so it's hard to get mixed up about which is which.
First comes some rust along the scraped front portion of the door and the 'Parking lot rash' on the back edge.

The second step is the black wash. I'll warn you again all the liquid parts need a really good stir. I show the passenger side as it just shows up better.

It seems to work okay but I'll keep an open mind, (Easy with the hole some people think I have in my head!

), until I do the final two steps. I'm not shooting for a 'Barn Find' look.

One thing I've used to good effect is to grind out rust spots from behind to recreate thin rested metal. Once ground ,you can use your rust.

I wasn't shooting for the "Rust Bucket" look, just something that had been started on a refurbishment at least once and was found in the process of another rebuild.

So I laid the flat finish on it and my 'Well Used' replacement parts look, well, well used! The hood even looks like it has clear coat peeling off. Then a little of Step 4 dust and a good swirling with a big soft brush followed by a big stiff brush to clear off the excess over a stiff white sheet of cardboard, (To be poured back into the bottle.), and then another blend with the soft brush got me to this point.
