I'm looking for a colour recommendation, preferably in the Tamiya or Vallejo acrylics ranges which looks like that puke green,  Zinc Chromate Green.  Any ideas?

Tamiya XF-4 Yellow-Green, adjust to desired green-ness with XF-5.

Note that there is no 'correct' shade.  ;D

You asked for correct color match in a What If Site?  :o

Xtracolor do it in enamels, but I've found their colour matching to be less than consistent in the past and each tin could be quite a different shade to the next sometimes.

Try Games Workshops colors. I'm pretty sure you can find what you want ....

Not unlike the real world.  ;D

I saw at least a dozen variations on 747/767 parts, including shade differences on the same part number
from the same supplier.

MIND GAMES!!

I'm assuming that this colour match is required as part of an exercise in the ancient art of Numpty-boggling.  The entire model will be  apparently so perfect in every detail of colour and form that JMN's are thrown into doubt, confusion and eventually gibbering when they realise that the Beverley they are enthusing over has a retractable undercarriage  or the B47  actually has a pair of R-R Trents .

I'd support the suggestion that Games Workshop colours are worth a look.

It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

Bearing in mind that there is not, and never has been, a 'color' standard for zinc chromate 'green', any
numpty that attempts to argue against one's personal choice should be immediately stripped of their
FS, RAL, BS and, for good measure, Pantone fandecks, as they clearly have no clue how said publications
are intended to be used.  ;D

Thanks for all the suggestions.   I'll mix my own.  I recognise as always, that any colour we use on our models is rather subjectively created anyway, despite what the paint manufacturers may claim...

Testors does a very bright Zinc Chromate Green (#1184), and Humbrol has "Grass Green" (#80) which does the job, too. They also have a tone called "Interior Green", which is not as bright (#226).
