Great Christmas this year! Good times with family and some time to actually work on stuff. The Rust and Dust is working well. I painted then washed the fuel tanks and placed them in the back of the truck.

Tanks installed, doors on and an M-60 in place. Scrounged around and found a bunch of small arms for in the cab and such. Next is a pair of pumps for the tanks.

Just might see the finish of this one soon!

This one is nearly finished! I added pumps and hoses to the tanks. Weapons are installed and ammo boxes in a rack. Jerry cans are in a rack behind the tanks. A couple of M-16s and M-1 Garands. The only thing I can think of to add is food and baggage. Here's some pics.

It took quite a while but I think this one is ready for the display shelf.

Hi kerick!
I'm impressed by your basic vehicle, your build and your handcraft...
But I must confess, I'm sure your plough is impractible.
If the plough isn't a hydraulic one like at real snowploughs, your plough is the best brake, a truck can have.
Every curbside, cornerstone, threshold (such modern "hills" across the streets to slow the traffic) will stop your firetruck.

Sorry pal!

I thought about some small wheels like the ones on boat and camper trailers to support the plow. In the present case, just get up some speed and inertia will conquer all! Just make sure your seat belt is on!!!!

Looking at your massive plough some supporting wheels seems to be more than only a good idea!
I addition, I would suggest a movable link (if only an intimation at the steelbeams) between truck and plough.

I was searching through some 1/72 a/c wheels for another project. Some would make good trailer type wheels. Maybe this project isn't as done as I thought. It may have to wait, I'm whiffing a modern F-101 Voodoo. I was always going to do an F-106 but an F-101 was already in the stash sooo....

Well I think that came out just fine.

The concept of a "found" vehicle like this one suits the theme.

Sure there are things I would change.. but I did not think of using a Firetruck

...a garbage truck would be another good idea...

In the city of Chicago all the garbage trucks are fitted with snow plows already, puts you one step ahead. Those trucks have been working hard lately.

A garbage truck would have good zombie camouflage, it already smells like something dead!
