Found a photo in one of my son's books of a mad looking Lysander with twin tails and a turret...got me thinking :

I think she's going to be an Autogryo floatplane (is it possible?)

Not too happy with the position of the horizontal stabilisers at the back. Could be airflow interference from the twin float supports in the centre  :-\

Anyway, its all good, clean fun... Still some filling and sanding to go I see from these photos.

Dizzyfugu

Somehow reminds me of the autogyro from the anime "Lupin III - Castle Cagliostro"?

Only found these views from promo pics:

Nice work, it looks great!

Librarian

Well spotted! I have to watch that again ; I know my son really liked it...Amazon, expect a visit. Why is FilmFour so +rap now?

Your design just looked so familar to me - a couple of weeks ago I was lucky to see the movie in original (with subtitles, though) in a small local cinema, during a German-Japanese intercultural week.  ;D

Yes, a pusher but will also have a rotor like a Cierva. It's in competition with the earlier Asymetric P-38 as an aggresive recon machine, hence the weird designs ;D.

Tophe

In French language, I count this weird machine as "bipoutre" (two-boom) because 2 bodies are holding the tail... I will try to draw a P-38 this way, vertically twin-boom. Thanks again!

Yes.It's called Hydrogyro - Avro-Cierva C.12, 1929.

And a modern French design.

Or a Russian autogyro with floats (interchangeable):

Here's some progress shots:

Run out of paint so have to wait now 'til Sunday.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

To use a word that is not normally in my vocabulary "Awesome"

That just screams Italy 1930's to me  Beautifull
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Great looking design.   How many kit parts were used for it so far?

Tiger, Tiger!

VERY  impressive.  From DeLanne Lysander to deranged hydro-autogyro  in one step.
