For what you need them for, they are far too big.  I looked at then for Spitfires years back,

I'm going to do something like that with the props from the Airbus A400M kit (1/72), got an extra set from a friend to go with the ones I won't use on the kit I have.

Doesn't matter.  The entire spinner assembly is too big for the Spitfire.

Hank, TAHS have a rapidly dwindling stock of Aeroclub products and their online catalogue is way out of date.

That's because what you're using as a basis is, at best, a caricature of a Spitfire.  Plus the blu-tac is hiding the true size.

To be fair, I compared the Frog props  to a Spit nose.

The Frog spinners are quite a bit bigger in diameter than the Aeroclub replacement sets (I've got a number of them in the stash where in the end, I only asked for the props and not the spinners when I made a big order some years ago).  So much so I wondered if the Aeroclub ones were correct.  But knowing John Adams attention to detail I wouldn't have thought they would be wrong.

But whether the base Spit is a ""caricature"" of a Spit doesn't really apply, the bash is so off-in-left-field that it doesn't really matter, does it? I'm more interested in how et gets around with the u/c -----

The only comment I would make is the rear props want to be flipped over so the pitch is in the right direction
