Ok so I don't want to completely associate us with the Nazi ideals, but if there's one thing that an autocratic, fascist, murderous, totalitarian regime that want bigger and better equipment encourages is imagination even if the encouragement did come from down the barrel of a gun, whilst us boring Brits would meet similar extremely adventurous designs with the response "yes it looks very pretty on paper, now stop sniffing glue and go build more spitfires" the German hierarchy met the designs with "wunderbar!, 2000 of them please, use as much fuel and steel as you want we've got plenty and are in no danger of running out"

The result of this is that we get some good models to add to our collection and throw our own brand of autocratic, fascist, murderous, totalitarian imagination to.

Here are my creations, ranging from defence of berlin the 1946 Middle East campaign to adventurous raids on the American eastern seaboard.

defence of berlin 1946

ME1011 Vogelart (shrike) flown by Eric Hartman, the first pilot to score a victory in jet to jet combat against a Meteor F3

lippisch P13A Pfeilspitze (Arrowhead) with deception colour scheme

ME1099B Nachtschwalbe (Nightjar)

Middle eastern campaign (german victory at kursk, march to the Tigris)

Blohm and voss P194

FW Flitzer

Flitzer with its RAF adversaries flown from bases in India and Basra

Arado E555 Valkyrie, used during OP steinbock (the second blitz) and later the Manhatten raid painted with "propaganda" tail markings

ME262 of the syrian air force 1967

SAAB J28 Djävul (Demon) license built Horton swedish airforce 1960

in this guise its a long range bomber escorting jet killer to escort lancasters lincolns and washingtons
made from two PM/Airfix Seafurys

ive got two more in my stash to make either a nightfighter or in post war colours not sure yet

Great minds ay lol

That PM P1111 is a pig of a model isn't it I picked in up for 2quid and made it as a weekend project, can imagine CDR Eric Brown having some fun flying it though, my dad (one third of crudebuteffective) is reading his book at the moment, want to nick it of him when he's done.

I want to add a tribelfluger, which I think is German for "how the hell is this supposed to fly" and a Pfeil I can get the former from hannants but can seem to find a pfeil other than the dragons high altitude version, if anyone knows of a source let us know

So you found it easier to get a Triebflugel than a Pfeil? I envy you your luck. Ever since "Captain America" came out I've only seen that Triebflugel kit go for stupid money on eBay. Aprior to that film it went for reasonable amounts. Good on you then.

I didn't find it that bad to be honest. Blocking the intakes is a pain, but at least you've got plenty of options. My main problem was a comedy contribution entirely of my own making: I forgot to put any weight in the nose, and ended up rolling pva-coated 2mm lead shots into the nose one-by-one via the footwells.... only took about four hours.....

. Thank **** I didn't box the cockpit in properly too!
