DH88 Comet in camo.

Had to happen sooner or later. May I present to you my first post on here.
(Be gentle with me...)

This is the old Airfix release, all ejector marks, vague joints and hopeless canopy. Bought it in a job-lot and thought "This needs roundels." So, a quick rummage in the spares bin netted a set of Tiger Moth decals and a handful of assorted plastic.

Apart from the paint job, it's got a new nose light, a camera housing under the rear fuselage, a tailwheel, aerial and new canopy. The canopy came from a Hobbyboss Spitfire, which I had left over from when I replaced the original with something that actually looked like a Spitfire canopy.

It's a bit of a rush-job and the camera hasn't been kind. (Is it ever?

Love the work I see on here - very inspirational. Hopefully, there'll be some more of mine on here soon.

Looks like the photos are on Flickr. Can you get some larger ones posted. I'm too sick to dig for them... 800px wide is fine, and I think we can live with a little bigger too.

I'm sure it has! Not found one on here though... Photos are indeed on Flickr. I'm on there as "Home is the Sailor," if that helps. Will have a play with the sizings next time around.

Nice work on the Comet, looks like a natural in those colours and markings eh ? Also dig the camera pod...a nice touch.
