Nice debut.  Well done.  Like the camera and canopy as well.

Welcome to the madhouse....!!! Great entrance....!!! Lovely work on that kit.......inspired use of the spit canopy.....love the camera housing. You think that's praise from KitPR19......do a kit with extended wings and then see what he says...... ;)

Hiya welcome aboard - that's a great model: like others have said, nice use of the Spit canopy.

Nice, although I don't think you'd need the pod for the cameras - you've all of the rear cockpit to house them and it'd keep the airframe cleaner.

Still, it's nice and it does give me an idea or two for a developed version.

Good point, but the Comet was a right flimsy thing, so my thought was more fuel in the aft cockpit... After I'd put the pod on, it occurred to me that the nose would've been a sensible place for cameras. Hey-ho.

I really like that. Good idea well executed
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Careful with the balance  ;)
Aircraft tend to keep fuel loads near the wing, so that changes in quantity don't affect the Center of Gravity too much.

The main fuel tanks (128 and 110 gallons) were located forward of the cockpit and took up
most of the available space, there was a small 20 gallon tank aft. Period cameras were bulky
so th may not have been room in the nose, also most recce aircraft of the period had the camera(s)
in the centre/aft fuselage.

Vindication!

Have to admit I'm both very surprised and pleased with the responses I've got here. Thank you all.
