I suggest, when you identify which size drill bit you use most often, that you order multiples of that size.
They are unbelievably easy to break.

The only other method that I can think of is to roll the tube under a sharp knife to score then cut through the tubing. This works to an extent, however the interior of the tube requires to be cleaned out as cutting the tube deforms it but nowhere as badly as using cutters does

You might find that you can use a razor saw. I've used one in the past and found that letting the saw do the work as I was always taught, but seldom practice, worked on some fine wall tubing.

When you do break a drill bit of the appropriate size for the tube you are cutting you can slide the snapped off shank inside the tube and then cut by rolling a knife blade on the tube.  The knife will not cut the harder material of the drill bit which will prevent the tube from closing up at the cut.

Nice idea but unfortunatly it won't work as the bits look like this

I've been looking at that style of drill bit recently. Easier to use the correct size then having to go through the dispenser thingy and fit it into a pin vice. I can get lazy and use a "near enough for government work" approach which is not the right way to do things.

Yesterday I made use of a voucher I got from Special Hobby due to an order from them arriving via France 

So I ordered two of these.

I don't think they come with canopies but I have some from buying an Eduard overtree set for the Liberator which is no longer available.

One of the sets will be for a real worl Lancaster B. Mk. VII and the other for this which I should really try to move further along.

Anyway, this is far better than an odd experience I have had today. While looking for the Single Seat Voutour Attack-Bomber in 1/72 I found a link to The Avaition Hobby Store which went directly to a page saying they had a stock of four, hurray!! 

Now imagine my supprise when a short while ago I was attempting to find the same item via their normal web page and nothing was found! 

Do a search for the kit with its Special Hobby code on Google and the item web page appears 

Needles to say I am finding their web site a bit of a nightmare to navigate and inconsistant to a degree

Anyway I went ahead and ordered one of the kits as it was the only version I don't have one of.

Had an idea to backdate the Huricane to a biplane so I am looking for a slip-wing. Can anyone point me in the direction of one as my searches come up blank

Scrub that. Realised that I had an Ally Cat Tin wing conversion for the Airfix Mk. 1 which gives me a fabric wing.

Does it have to be a proper slip wing or could you use any suitably sized wing?
Hs 126 for example.

I think I have a Project-X vacuform Hurricane Slip wing in the stash somewhere.

Thanks for the offers guys, The wing left over from the kit which has the AllyCat tin wing in the box will do. After looking at a few projects on the web of how others build a slip wing from scratch I thought I could do sonething simmilar myself suing the spare wing I have. I't the kind of destructive/creative project I like to do

Just had a nice conversation with the very nice people at Special Hobby. The conversation ended in my paying €9 for a complete set of Havoc clear parts for an A-20 so I will get the clear turret  top that I am looking for
