Working at the Post Office i've noticed this with boxes.  They are invariably just slightly smaller than they need to be.

Probably a corollary to Murphy's Law.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I've found a good on-line supplier of packing boxes on Ebay http://www.ebaystores.co.uk/easipack

Good prices, free postage and great delivery. Recommended if you are in the U.K.

Just like decal manufacturer's clear plastic envelopes.

Once you've taken the decal and the instructions out, there's NO way they'll go back in again! Not without bending them anyway.............  :banghead: :banghead:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Tell me about it. I've had some fun with this issue over the weekend  :banghead:

Total kits recorded so far is 251 which accounts for only 1/3 of the storage room and less than half of the modelling room with nothing from the tops of the wardrobes etc. I would not be supprised if I pass the 1,000 kit mark  ;D

I wouldn't be surprised if my Spitfire stash alone is over 1,000...  It's certainly in the high hundreds.

I picked up a couple of cardboard house-move boxes in Lidl or Aldi last year. Dirt cheap and easily big enough for most of my stash.
You have to fold them up yourself but they are very strong with a double layer base.

I also have a pair of large square boxes from Big Yellow Storage that have started to sag at the corners. Not really designed to be stacked but the right size for my *really big kits*!

You guys need to get together and open your own store!

The idea is to accumulate them, not sell them! :o

I did have a plan which for the best part of two years I was able to follow to some extent. I have had a Word document on my desktop to put ideas into when I came up with them. Had because the PC was down for a couple of years and I was using my laptop. Now the PC is back up and running with a transplanted hard drive and that Word document has been moved to the Cloud so I can access it from any device I have, even my phone which is dead handy if I am looking for something specific.

That's pretty slick.  What cloud are you using??   I've been wondering about similar lately as I'm starting to get that worisome feeling that my laptop may crap out on me and I'd like to backup all me files and bookmarks. I'm so out of the loop on all this crap, though...   Ig uess these days people use them usb thumbdrives and stuff but knowing a dummie such as myself I'd lose it or something.  ;D

As a Microsoft user I simply use theirs. An app for my phone means I can access my data on the move too. There are other cloud providers but as access to the Microsoft one was so easy as I use Windows anyway I went with that but its all personal preference.

I don't trust the cloud.
I back my toplap up onto a terabyte size hard drive.  I don't do it as much as I should, but I do do it.

That's what I do, and should do it more often as well.
