A slight update on what's been happening the last few days.

Just won an Airfix Victor SR.2/K.2 aircraft so now I can change the old Vulcan from an Indian Air Force to a Vulcan SR.2  ;D, this gives me a Victor to hang 35 x 1,000lb bombs from, all of which I have now built from a couple of the Vulcan kits I have, not decided on which squadron or aircraft yet, probably real world though. I have also decided that one of the new Vulcan's will get pylon's from Colin's Silver Cloud SkyBolt set with either the missiles from the set but more likely a couple of the Black Dog B versions which was actually supposed to be the production version with the single cone nose rather than the double cone. Both will be whiffs, the SR.2 will belong to the same squadron as the Victors were and the SkyBolt aircraft..... not sure yet but it will be in operational markings.

The 250lb depth charges I bought a short while ago will find a home withthe Wellesley ASR. Mk.1, details to be determined, will probably have to look for some Stickleback antenna for that.

Hopefully my sofa will arrive tomorrow afternoon, camera will be ready so I can take pictures when they unload it and so I can prove it wrong if it is. Only thing that's gone right was the initial order so far, hence wanting to document the arrival. My back is hurting from sitting on dining room chairs to watch TV so I hope it correct!

Well I can say that I have gone from this.....

to this....

Although it not correct at the moment as it's missing the cat sleeping against the two small grey cussions!

It was late, Fortyfive minuites late on the run acording to one of the two guys, and the run started late as well but the main thing is that it turned up and was the correct style, size, colour, shape and orentation!
Tomorrow I go and talk to the shop about compensation or threten to talk to my solisitor, the local trading standards officer and a couple of papers.

Glad it's finally gotten there, and the Saga is coming to a Middle.

"Have at Ye, yon Varlets!" Hope that goes well, too.

Glad you got it at last mate

Getting £100 from the sofa company for all the inconvenience I have had, a bit thin if you ask me but it would cost a lot more to get more out of them. At least that should mean a nice time out for me and the other half.

You may have noticed that I received a Victor K.2/SR.2 today, this one will be the SR.2 version and the SR.2 parts from the other K.2/SR.2 kit I have will be for A Vulcan SR.2, just to be different. The main question will be do I shorten the front tank or the rear tank so everything fits into the bomb bay?
This brings the number of Airfix Victor kits to four, two will be as described above with a third being the Blue Steel version with the forth being a conventional bomber variant complete with 35 x 1,000lb bombs  ;D  No idea which squadron or colour scheme for it yet and I'm not even sure how all the bombs will be fitted into the bomb bay. Would be nice to do it as real world as I am sure some B.2's were allocated to conventional bombing.

Found out that the Victor B.2 was not allocated for conventional bombing and went dtraight from Nuclear delivery to AvGas delivery. Thinking of my conventional B.2 belonging to the 543 Squadron or using one of the squadrons that used the B.1 in Malaya.

Found that 10, 15 and 57 Squadrons had aircraft in the Malay area duering the conflict so I think I will go with my idea in my previous post and have 543 Squadron operating in a dule role as Strategin Reconnance and Conventional Bomber which fits as they operated both the SR.2 and the B.2

Been Furlouged for another week so I now have lots of time which will pass in no time to work of the semi scratch/conversion build for the currant GB.
At the moment I am trying to get my new Samsung Galaxy A52 phone looking simmilar to my old phone which was not happy connecting to my Sat nave or Dash cam via Bluetooth. Hopefully this new mobile computer will do better.

Really found out today that a new blade on my modelling knife really works wonders. I suppose I was getting used to the gradual dulling of the old blade/knife and makeing do. Now I have a new blade/knife it's supprising how well the tip especially is working. Been cutting brass tubing with the blade, no problem at all when rolling the knife and tube along a surface, cut in no time

I was thinking of doing something with one of my new Airfix Mossies, thought about changeing the bomb load to a 4,000lb cookie but decided not to bother as someone will produce a conversion/detail set or Airfix will come out with boxing includeing said bomb.

Found out that I am furloughed for another week, hopefully what appears to be a head cold will have cleared soon so I can generate some enthusiasm.

Is Furlough in Scotland covered by the same legislation as that in England Alistair ?

No idea, but I think it is. Is there something to worry about other than it's ending at the end of this month?

No I was just interested. I'm never sure what's the same and what isn't across the borders anymore and I sometimes think none of the Government's do either. I knew it ends in England at the end of September but wasn't sure about Scotland.

I am a little worried though, as I have no idea when the parts I need to continue work will arrive and if they will be up to standard.
