Sitting drinking round the barbie one evening in the Adelaide Hills with Mrs z's family having a discussion about car names and why so many had cat names and so few dog.  Cuz Shan walked out, asked what we were on about and immediately said "what about Hispaniel Suiza..."

Wonder if I know Mrs z's family?

Probably not! ;)

Answer: Because cats are synonymous with speed & agility combined into a single package (ask our dogs what they think of my cat ;D ).

You never know, it's a small world.  The hill folk come from Upper Sturt and the flat landers from Marion.

Lived near both at various times in my life.  Hawthorndene, Blackwood, Brighton, Oaklands Park...

Dogs (some anyway) chase cars or sit in the back and are sick unless you let them stick their heads out of the window, whilst cats can't be bothered with the things other than finding them to be convenient sun shades in hot weather  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Dogs...  sit in the back and are sick unless you let them stick their heads out of the window,

Did you ever notice that the same dog that gets annoyed when you blow in it's face, will make the most strenuous efforts to put it's head out the window of a moving car?

Had that happen once, transporting the dog of a friend of my Sister's - I had a 2-door Escort, so the driver's window was the only one that wound open.
The dog was in the back seat.
There was a Sudden Dog Event and a very wet nose impacting my neck on the way out of the window, and that's all I'm wanting to say about that...  :o

Dog in a sidecar - the whole world is their open window.

Back when the world was possibly saner (sometime in the 60's) a neighbour used to take his Spaniel out in his sidecar. Dog loved it and looked something special with it's tongue lolling out and it's ears streaming in the wind  ;D

Mine was a big black Belgian Shepherd cross.  Laddie also loved it but had a habit of trying to get out when we stopped.

My dog has his own sidecar which I chauffeur for him. It is a 50 plus year old Watsonian Palma, bolted to a 1985 Suzuki GS 850G. Had it 3 years now although it was attached to a Kawasaki GT 550 to begin with. My dog loves it.
