1970's Japanese motorcycle engines were held together with fasteners made of a material whose properties are the exact opposite of Unobtanium - Cheese Metal.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Yes
Unobtainium has a Wikipedia entry.

Of course
it is useful for wiffworld modelling. How else we going to keep our whifdesigns feasible?

I used to work with a Nigerian guy named Debo. He had trouble keeping up during some of the heavier lifts....so I'd call him Debonium. When he asked what that was I said "Like steel, only much, much weaker" lol

I always thought Unobtanium was used by  Japanese motorcycle factory race teams. How else are the bikes spinning at 20,000 rpm, producing 260 hp and only weighing 300 lbs. ?

Cheese Metal!  ;D

This exactly describes the screws in the garden gate bolt pack I bought in the summer. The head of each screw wore out after 3 turns and one bent off when I tried removing it with pliers. Absolutely useless.

Of course, the great Tsingtao Republic has found a way to alloy Unobtainium and Vibranium.  Definitely improves the effectiveness of the old German designs we've resurrected and use

In order to maintain the secrecy over unobtainium it's also spelt unobtanium sometimes............  ;)

Ah, I always thought "unobtanium" was the American spelling because they couldn't pronounce it properly...  ;)

It's the material responsible for James Cameron's complete loss of credibility, and Michael Bay's otherwise inexplicably continuing career.
