some time ago I received an inspirational hint :

so I did fond a kangaroo figurine, but alas no scale-matching F-111 ...

however, another idea came to my mind, thinking of Tomcats (but they were too large for that), and then of a pair of F5Es (one in 1/72, the other in 1/144) :
