Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Australian equivalent might be "Jaffles".  But I suspect only a few of us would know what they were.  Smores is a bit more widespread due to American TV shows.

close-up front views of Tomcats (and derivatives) have something striking

NARSES2

Now from some angles that B-17/Tomcat has a slightly Soviet look about it, could also have been designed by committee, half of which was of the "play safe and stick with what we know" variety and the other half the "lets push the boundaries" variety  ;)

From other angles it almost has a spaceship look about it ? Could see it in a Manga (is that the right word ?) comic strip or whatever.

What ever, it is very good.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

steelpillow

It's a commercial passenger spaceplane. Single-stage-to-orbit, full of observation windows for the tourists to gawp through.

Uses its wings more like airbrakes, during re-entry and descent. In fact you can even book a helicopter ride to watch the flight phase where it spreads its wings and puts its nose up, as it swoops past. Said to be an awesome sight, though I cannot even afford that ride, never mind a space ticket.

Cheers.

the other half of the Tomcat, with rubber bat wings (I have now a few others in my stash), and the original kit's Airfix stand

with the red thread from the rubber bat, it can be attached to the ceiling

I love it.  I do wonder if you could reinforce the bat wings with some wire or something... it just doen't look right when they're droopy. ;)
Thanks!
