Dear ericr,
If your grandfather was Spanish, he was probably the artist having made this drawing in 1925 (before colour in magazines): ;D

the reciprocal also seemed to be plausible ...

NARSES2

To my mind I can see that as a delta, nice work
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The plausibility is not the best point, according to me, what is best is the pure beauty/inventivity of this airliner, so unusual... ;D

It really needs to be in the next Bond film, where he and the villain will open the cargo door, climb out onto the wing and fight to the death. All done close to the airport, with u/c down, so when Bond is forced over the leading edge, he is blown back onto the u/c and clings to it like Father Ted, while the villain is sucked into an engine.
Already this film is better in my mind than anything that has been made since Sean Connery ducked out. As somebody once wrote to radio 4, "I prefer listening to the radio over watching TV, because the pictures are so much better".
Thank you, eric.
Cheers.

Wasn't there one like that already?

The aircraft was an An-124 and the villain did end up being sucked into an engine while Bond (and the girl....) went out of the rear cargo hatch aboard a car, which naturally had some BIG parachutes attached!
