Hasegawa will bring a kit of it out next week, you mark my words..............  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

changing the number of engines ...

No, it's still got four, but two of them are now jets.  ;D

And very good it looks too, a bit like an early Mercator.

Great work,  prices for the Privateer are starting to climb,  I have a Neptune in the stash.

Dizzyfugu

That works surprisingly well! Looking really good.
Just the wings could have needed some PSR at the roots?

ericr

thanks for your appreciation !

the build is indeed done simplistically, and I left wing attachment also such that I could detach them for storage.

as I sometimes say, I like to do my stuff a bit fast, a bit punky, very simple, and monochrome,
but I would welcome reuse of ideas with more modelling skills (like yours, always  particularly excellent) and with liveries more elaborate as well

Tophe

As far as I am concerned, I clap my hands for this inventive model.
I prefer free invention than disapproval for lack of detail "perfection"... :-\
Glory to Ericr! ;D

The Davis wing design used on the B-24 and Privateer end up with VERY thick wing roots, and most kit manufacturers mould large 'holes' into the fuselage to take the wings for those aircraft.
