Reminds me strongly of something I seen in my youth, either in a comic book or in a cartoon, looked almost exactly like that, radial engines, tricycle landing gear, swept leading edge flying surfaces, T-tail and all. Just wish I could remember where...

(the He115 wings are 1/48 by the way, whereas the DC9 is 1/72)
