It's that canopy perched up high on top of a already high fuselage.

It'd make one heck of a glider tug, as many crop sprayers do these days.

and the reciprocal

It Would also make a credible unsuccessful competitor to the Shorts Sturgeon me thinks.
you would probably want to add a few more observation windows at the front, or possibly an HS2 radome
for that full "Sturgeon" effect ;-)

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

I didn't know the Shorts Sturgeon: beautifully ugly !
would it exist in plastic ?

Always a joy to see your inspiring builds.

I like that beaufighter fuselage with radial perched on the nose..I might copy that in a future build. No copyright I presume ;-)

Sort of, Contrail did a vacform and Magna did a resin Sturgeon, both in 1/72.

right, I see them on
https://www.scalemates.com

quite hard to find I guess ; the long nose version is interestingly weird looking (almost french ...)

PR19_Kit

I've never seen the Contrail one, and Magna sold up some years ago, but I believe someone else took over their moulds.

The Wooksta will know who did I'm sure.

I've always thought the two Sturgeon prototypes were quite attractive.

PR19_Kit

But the anti-submarine and target tug versions were somewhat less so.......

NARSES2

The Target tug version always has the air of a Hampden or Boston about it to me.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

PR19_Kit

Somehow it looks immediately 'German'. Very odd, but I like the idea anyway.
