Truth be told it might just be empty space to allow them to stand up in there .  lol    That, or a section made into a bed. Half open so one could crawl in there, and the forward section (or rear) a bunk.  Thinking back to my days snoozing in a elevated bed section in an RV.    ::shrug:::  or not.  hehe

one more plastic foam banana, this time powered by a Buccaneer
(remember that the Matchbox/Revell one has engines and wings easy to detach and reuse elsewhere  )

That does look good, 
you can see why it was known as the Banana jet (among other nome de plumes)
And my second thought was, that looks a bit portly, ought to be good for C.O.D aircraft,
although one might Want to refine the Tailplanes/fin a bit more aerodynamically.
