Some of your creations disturb me Eric.  This is one of them.
I think it's the inclusion of a cockpit.  It suggests (to me anyway) that a Hippo has been surgically modified to enable a human to control it.  Something i'm not sure the Hippo would want.

Well done.  An emotional response.  That is what art is for.  Carry on.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Whilst I don't feel disturbed, more amused, I know exactly where your coming from and fully agree.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I think the hippo was walking along, found himself at the aircraft salvage yard, smelled the quickly abandoned lunch from one of the workers, stuck his head in and got stuck! He was a hungry, hungry hippo. Kind of like what bears do with buckets and such. Nobody is controlling anything as there is no one in the cockpit.

I am impressed by the response on this one !  ;)
thank you all for your feedback  ;D

mixing animals with technology is indeed disturbing, especially regarding animals perspectives ...

While reminding me of some surrealist art I can't quite put my finger on, at the same time it reminds of my old dog wearing a cone collar.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

surrealism might well have influenced me, especially unconsciously

Really Ericr? That's a surprise........................  ;D  ;)  :police:
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Sandpiper & watermill, red : hybrid aircraft/animals e.a.

when doing this I thought it might be relevant for the The In Memoriam Group Build,
especially regarding Tophe, as this is :

- assymetric

- challenging the laws commonly associated to the phenomena of physics

but then I have started it before july 1st.

My mind's eye has visions of this being "manned" by ancient Greeks and going round and round in circles whilst the commanding officers study some plans whilst saying "how many wheels did Archimedes say we'd need ?"
