That's EXCEPTIONAL ericr!

Others obviously know what it's meant to be, but I don't. Please explain.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

really, I didn't do much  ;)
the kit represents a plane seen in the last Myazaki anime movie, The Wind Rises, in a dream-like scene :
so it is an out-of-the-box whif.
The kits is in already colored plastic : I just had to paint the wing tips blue, and the wheels and nose cone yellow.

So all merit goes to Myazaki (and FineMolds)  ;D

that being said, there would be kitbash potentials there ! ... ... ...

"The Wind Rises" is the last feature film made by the Japanese cartoonist Hayao Myazaki - think of him and his Studio Ghibli as a latter-day Disney of Japan. But this one is meant firmly for adults and tells the romanticised, semi-biographical story of Jiro Horikoshi, the guy who designed the Mitsubishi Zero. The whiff plane appears at the beginning of the film, as a dream by the young child. Visually and emotionally stunning, the whole thing.
Cheers.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

with all these kitbashes, I had a Twin Otter fuselage left over, as well as long stored wings of a CAMS37
(the hull had been used in conjunction with a Bearcat ...
see http://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php/topic,38998.msg648621.html#msg648621)

and they happened to fit not too bad after all (complemented with a P-47 propeller) :

Awesome....  that's one nutty design and I dig it.  There's so many elements from so many different places!  ;D

This gives me all kinds of wild ideas about using long drive shafts to connect to propellers that are nowhere near engines.  I'm so inspired I might go hit MSpaint and start designing stuff...
